Pond filled up about a week ago.. I'll put up some pics of construction soon - but thought these pics were cool. Had FH delivered from Anderson last Friday. Although quite a few of them were DOA, the rest were happy. Males were holding ground under rocks within a day - and 5 days later I've got fry all over the place.

Hi Eric, Nikon D70 digital camera... 70mm lens.. autofocus doesn't work too well shooting at water - I either got the rocks or the top of the water in focus, so I had to switch to manual. I took about 150 pics and about 1/3 were 'in focus.' Finally figured it out and just got close to the water, zoomed in, and clicked away.

Thanks I will try that next time. I usually have about 10 bad pics for each decent one. I never tried manual settings just one of the pre set ones like auto , action or landscape etc.

Aaron, congrats on getting your pond finished, can't wait to see the construction pics. I have minnows arriving on the 29th from Andersons to our place in Missouri. Are there any permits or regs regarding building a pond in Maricopa county? I'm just guessing they probably treat it like a pool as far as fencing requirements?I'd love to put a pond in when we build our new home.
