I have read that talstar is good to control fire ants. A friend also said he had used this product. He did not have a fish pond. I see that in New York this product can not be used within 100 feet of any body of water. Has anyone used this product or does someone know more about this product being used near fish ponds. I would amagine that if the near soil area drains to the pond it would not be acceptable and maybe it could be used in the non pond drain areas? Weed and feed areas that drain to the pond will cause be problems in fish kill.

If that is the case, I won't be trying talstar at the BarO. Most of the "house" yard drains toward the pond, I won't be taking ANY chances.
20 acres of trees & 3/4 acre pond.
