Wow, I have been lugging around 30 and 40lbs Wooden pallet and cinder blocks to create structure... This looks a lot easier to setup and sink then what I was doing. It was from a post on Texas Fishing Forum . I think the design looks brilliant and you could probably create a few tree like structures from it as well. The only downside is it looks like it would be to easy to snag and pull up from shore. What do you guys think?

Good looking structure. Simple to build and inexpensive. Looks like I'll be be making a few of those.

I have 4 or 5 structures made of very loosely organized field tile (loose was about all I could do with the short remnants I was using). I did not count on the plastic losing it's buoyancy after getting some FA on it. I like the looks of yours better.

I like the looks of that. To prevent snags you could turn the wholes to the inside. Or at least off set them to make it harder getting a lure in them.

What size structure you think they are? What size pipe? 4"? Held together with zip ties? Stuff some rocks in the base to keep it in place?
I was thinking of making a few with a 5' diameter base (about 16' in circumference) and the 4 pieces on top being 10', 9', 8' and 7'. That’s a total of 50' of pipe per structure. 1 roll of 100'x4" from Lowes yields 2 structures. Sound right?

The guy that posted the pics on the Texas Forum is from Vicksburg Miss. He no doubt got the idea from a bunch of high school kids in Wiggins Miss (IIRC) who make them in shop class and sell them to raise funds for the school. It was reported some time back in either Bassmasters or In-Fisherman. They come in different sizes. Small world - right.
