On March 9th Jesse Robertson of Goldthwaite caught a 15.54 pound bass from a private pond near Goldthwaite. The 6 year old was using a plastic crayfish in three to four feet of water. One of the adults had to help him land the fish, which was 27.125 inches long and 21.5 inches in girth. The fish was entered into the Budwiser ShareLunker program. Harrell Arms helps to manage the pond. There is hope for us all.

At 6 years old he has accomplished something most of us can only dream of and probably with a 3 1/2 foot "Snoopy" rod and reel.
Does the name Pavlov ring a bell?

It is a private community lake and has produced a lot of double digit bass over the years. I know a guy who has a cabin there. There are quite a few acres around the lake that are hunted only by residents. I have an open invitation to go fishing there with the guy but just don't get the time. Hard to believe, isn't it?
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.
