My apologies to all my PB Conference friends that I promised the PB Minnow/Aunt Lydia fly tyin’ demo, but it fizzled Saturday morning when Dave and Eric hid my tools and sent me home early…
It seems that I used up a months worth of energy on Saturday tying non-stop, take on all comers, pellet flies on Friday.
The PB Minnow in more of a fly tying technique than a pattern.
Simple materials are available from craft and home improvement stores, and only basic skills required – besides that, it’s a killer fly.
Below are pictures of basic PB Minnow/aka/Aunt Lydia fly, as well as photo of required materials.
Eric suggested the PB moniker which I thought was agood idea.
At some time I will follow with photos of basic steps, as well as “gussied-up” PB Minnow fly versions, with flash and spinners.
Have fun,
George Glazener
