Do any of you use underwater lights to see your fish?

I don't have a dock but if I did, I think I would install a few of these to see if any Big Un's hover by at night.

I found them here:

It would be pretty neat to see what comes floatn' by at night. \:\)

Man, if I had electric at my place, I'd have a bunch of those lights in my pond.

Get a cooler of beers and head out into the night on the boat. Crazy. I'd be out there for hours just watching that. Then I'd have to throw a shiner in there on a hook. Crazy.

Excerpt from Robert Crais' "The Monkey's Raincoat:"
"She took another microscopic bite of her sandwich, then pushed it away. Maybe she absorbed nutrients from her surroundings."

I bought an underwater light from a swimming pool dealer. He had one left over from a job he had done and sold me the light, stainless housing and 50 foot sealed wiring. I stalled it 4' under water. it shines out at least 15-20'. I have blue gill and minnows come in after dark to consume the zooplanckton that are attracted to the light. I get a real good look at the size of the fish. I sit out there for an hour an just watch te fish.

Hey M Spinhirne,
