Is there any use for chain link fence, either rolled up or unrolled as far as providing structure to baitfish in a small pond? I just removed about a 30 foot section of fence from my yard and before halling it to the dump I just thought there might be a chance it could be benificial in my pond.
Thanks for any advice,
rayb

It would work great for structure. However remember where you put it so you don't loose your best lures on it as it will snag everything you throw in. I would put it in the best spot closest to the most likely place a poacher would fish!

Ray,
Absolutely use it for structure...it makes a great way to surround a pile of structure in your pond and provide a haven for baitfish. I've done that and it works great.

Thanks for the advice. Guess I won't be making that trip to the dump.

I used to use chain link in front of my pier on a public lake... Filled a tacklebox full of goodies from it one year. and your right, baitfish love it, always great crappie fishing around it.
even a blind nut finds a squirrel every now and then!
