I have posted before about different things going on with my pond, but my current observations have me somewhat concerned.
Last August I stocked 50 LMB in my 1 acre pond to thin down the BG fry, which were all over the place, after being initially stocked the October before...so first spawns.
So now its almost June, I think the bass have eaten all of the left-overs from last fall because I see only a few small minnow size fish left in the shallows, I don't see any real evidence of the BG's spawning, or the bass for that matter...and, in short, I am wondering what the bass are finding to eat and if the BG's are spending all their time at the dock eating store bought food instead of spawning.
I know that there is nothing I can do about what seems to be going on, but I am curious about why it is.
