I am closing on a farm tomorrow that has several ponds on it. One of the ponds is covered with lilly pads. I was wondering do grass carp eat lilly pads? If not what is a way to eradicate them? I don't know if there are any fish in there but I am betting there aren't any bass in there. We fished it for a while this past weekend without a nibble. One of the other ponds has some good fish in it though. So at least one of the ponds has good fish in it

Lee looks like watershield, aka dollar bonnet, brassneria. Best longterm treatment is 2,4-D granular, we sell it as Navigate but also sold as aquakleen. IT is systematic to kill ofroots, glphosate also works but will take mutiple applications to rid of. Grass carp will do little to no control.
With little fish mayb better to drain it and that is cheaper to treat it, then restock after you rid of watersheild, just another thought. Hope that helps will not be around computer again for a few days.
