I went to visit my pond for the day and when i came back most of the posts that were under my feeding topic dissapeared. There were numerous posts from me and Meadowlark.
Also, Meadwolarks topic on deep water structure dissapeared. And so did GTS's topic on catfish.
What happened?
Thanks - Jighead

Norm, It looks like all July 12 posts are gone...maybe they aren't picking on just us? Also, I lost a couple of responses to posts this a.m. One to GTS took a long time to prepare, very frustrating. p.s. hmmm just noticed that an Open letter from Bob that was there earlier today was also deleted...now that is really strange!

I also lost a few post. I had this site marked in my favorites. When I went to punch it up I got an error message on the site software. I dont know but I think this site (server) may have been infected by a worm or a trojan horse. Anyhow it is great that it is back online!! Thanks Bob and every one else that got us back up and going again!
It looks like the last few days of post have been lost or deleted. I have to go to the website now to get the correct site address.
Just another 1 acre hole in the ground...........with fish !!!

Yes, good point...and I've also learned that often there are more important things than being right...especially as it relates to the "shes" in my life. p.s. bassandgrass is the one who should be upset...I voted 5 stars for those posts and that vote was also erased. Come back bassandgrass and collect your stars

We also lost Matt's topic on a large RE in which Norm provided a short but excellent point on genetics of fish. Norm if we can't get those posts back please repost that info . We should all think about Norm's info as it relates to our ponds. ewest

Yes, I'd really like to re-read Norm's post. It was really a good one, and I had to skip through pretty quick, as I had a meeting. Dang it all, anyway.

It looks like all July 12 posts are gone, across the board in all sections of the site. I also had problems getting to the search page early yesterday. Looks like the database that supports this board might have had a hic-up..
I also just noticed when previewing my post that my signature has changed. I changed it on Tuesday and now it is back to what it had been before. Definately a database problem and it looks like a backup was done as of Monday July 11.

Readers - Here is a copy of Bob Lusk's explanation of what happened to those posts.
"Several things happened, all at once. First things first...I did make a post to ask all inappropriate posts cease immediately. Please keep the comments to related topics about ponds, lakes, fish, vegetation...topics the forum is about. When I see any more posts which have racial, sexual or similar topics, or innuendo, I will immediately delete them. About three weeks ago, webmaster JP Greeson informed me we were approaching the size limit for our server. Well, we hit that limit. JP switched servers, to a much larger one, and somehow we lost several days posts. Sorry. It wasn't intentional. Those posts, including mine, are gone. Plus the forum was down for the better part of a day. Keep going...we have a great site, and a great following."

Thanks Meadowlark I sure appreciate it. I still have a lot to learn but do my best to share info to help others when I can. I'm so glad to see this forum up and running again.
