For those of you who have not done this, you gotta see it to believe it! Here in the metro St. Louis area it's 55 deg. Still, the lake is alive and thriving. I love going out about 11 o'clock at night with spotlight in hand, and walk the shoreline and observe the babies and aquatic creatures my lake has created. WOW!!!!! Baby bluegill 1/8" long, feeding on smaller aquatic bugs and plankton, along with tiny newly hatched crawdads crawling on the rocks looking for food. Baby bass, hiding in ambush, waiting for an unsuspecting morsel to swim by..... This is WAY TOO COOL!!!!!!!!!!!! I spend hours out there in utter amazement watching all this go on right in front of me. Try it! You'll love it.. Thanks Pond Boss, You've made me feel like a kid again! \:D \:D \:D

Brad , i know what you mean. i haven't did the spot light yet , but i will. i go back there twice a day. i walk around and just check out everything going on. today the snapper ( who has made a pallet his home) was trying to catch some small fry going by him , that was cool to watch. then i was on the dock looked in and saw a few fathead fry , looked closer and the whole dock ( 5 X 25) , under and around was just covered in them , thousands and thousands. amazing , never seen that many fish in one area. i guess those pallets are the ticket. the bluegill fry like hanging around them too. i just put in 4 heavy duty oak pallets here and there , with big rock on top , at 3 ft. to a foot , every time i go back there, something new. i'll put the light by the back door \:\)

i only wanted to have some fun
