I am at the early stages of building a 1.5 acre pond and I recently subscribed to Pond Boss and have been reading as much as possible. After reading I soon reailized that help from the beginning would be wise. Are there any reputable pond managers in Northwest Ohio that anyone would recommend for advice about my project? Thank you in advance. dr3131

dr3131-- Go to www.ibnature.com and poke around. They are in your area. I've used their microbes for a couple of years and have talked to them and been impressed by their knowledge and courtesy. I know they offer management services too, but can't comment on them because we are out of their service area.

Bill, I have read many of your posts and you seem to be a wonderful source of information. I just finished reading an article you wrote in Feb 2003 in Pond Boss about what activity is overlooked in pond management which was excellent. I have many questions that I would love to have answered to ensure that my pond will have the best chance at success. Do you do any individual consults? I ask this because I see you are so close to our future pond. Thanks Mike

I provide advice to lots of local pownowners. Little if any charge, depending on if I have to travel.

Yes, Bill may be the best on the board...if not, he's right up there. He took the time to help me out a year ago, personally sent me e-mail on sexing bgill. While others generally opposed the idea of stocking mature fish, Bill simply helped me with what I wanted to do. That was 1 year ago, I'm now introducing adult Bass to chow down on the buffet ! Saved me hundreds of $$$
