If the green sunfish are 8" to 9" long yes; otherwise no. Smaller greensunfish (4" - 6") will eat bass that are 1/2" - 1.5" long. I have had 6" & 7" g.sunfish eat 2" green sunfish.

Same here. one time i had a 2 inch greenie on for catfish bait and reeled it in and it had a 10inch greenie on it. That was proubly the biggest greenie i have ever seen.

most of the green sunfish that are in my pond are 3"-5" but i've caught a few that are over 8". i'm new to this and did not realize these greenies were such a predator, i just stocked 200 lmb 2"-3" in this pond it has a lot of cover. do you think some of these bass will make it? at this time i'm trapping & fishing out the greenies. i know i won't get all of them.

Proubly a few made it but there was proubly some loses to greenies. When the bass that make it get to 10 inches they will help in the process of removal of greenies.

60% to 80% of the fingerling bass will survive IF they have small sized food that those same 2" to 4" green sunfish eat. Keep removing green sunfish. The more you remove the more small sized food items will be left over for the bass fingerlings to grow larger. LMBass 6" -8" long will eat 2"-3" greenies because green sunfish have a slightly narrower body than bluegills.
If you don't see or catch very many bass this summer or early fall you may need to add some (30-50) 6" to 8" bass this fall.
