Found a great site to get a picture of you pond from the air. Not all areas are covered but had no problem finding my house, bad thing is hadn't dug the pond in 1998! I found if you go to the topo map center on your location and then switch to the photography it is pretty easy to find your place. It goes down to 1 meter resolution which is not bad. http://terraserver-usa.com

Friend of mine lives near military airfield, so his house just happens to be in the blank area.

In some areas of the country you can also get aerial photos thru mapquest. once you put in an address and then select the "Big Map" option a tab will appear at the top which says aerial photo. Some of these are a little newer than those on Terraserver.
Its not how well you do something, Its how well you look doing it!

Cool! Found my pond location. Obviously, my pond is newer than the map, but you can see where it is. It is in the center of this map http://terraserver-usa.com/image.aspx?t=1&s=11&x=949&y=10753&z=16&w=1 with the dam at the east end near the woods.

For those living in New York State a better and more up to date source is the NYS GIS site. http://www.nysgis.state.ny.us/ It has some great high resolution images and links to free viewing tools.
