Hello. New hear. Looks like a lot of information.
I have a few questions if it is all right. I have read about this Cutrine Plus. I think it might help with my algie. My water is green and the visiblity is low. I don't know how deep because I never thought to try and measure. Don't really know how to measure. Any way, will this product help and where do I get it? I have fish in there and don't want to hurt them.
Thanks
Homer

Homer, I am far from a expert, however, my experience with cleated copper products is they will help very short term. It will make matters worse, I understand the dead stuff will settle and new growth will feed off the dead and re-bloom. Lets see what the pro's say.

Lots of ways to measure visibility. One is a sechi disk. Take a white weighted "thang" of some kind and suspend it from a string. Measure how far down in the water you can see it. A quick way is to stick your arm in the water and see how far down in the water you can see your fingers.

Homer, chelated copper compounds are one possible tool to fix your problem. They should be used carefully, especially with warm water and a large algae bloom. this site is a great learning tool for beginners and veterans alike. If you are interested, I am in Northern Illinois about 3 times a week and could possibly give you some more advice.

Hey, Robert. when are you down here? During the week, or on the weekends? I don't get home sometimes until 5:30 or 6pm.
