Hi everyone, I live in a city and see this land with a 0.5 acre pond. However, the pond is DRY....!!! the owner said that the pond was filled with water and stocks few years ago. But then it is dry out. He also stated that the pond is suppied the water by the spring itself. Is there a fix for this. I need all the help I can since I love the countryside and love fishing.... Thank you

Hi Sinbad, has your area been under a drought for any length of time? Also is the spring itself still flowing? Al ot of areas in the Eastern US have suffered from a couple of years of drought and through cities pumping water out of the ground and farmers pumping water for irrigation along with the lack of rain have lowered the water tables considerably. This could be the source of the problem and only time will tell if it will fill again. Other than that the only solution would be a liner but then you still need a source of water to fill it and maintain the levels.

Hi Bob, Thanks for the reply post. As far as I can remember, We didn't have a big drought for a long time. Also lately this year, we have a lot of rain (around 3" above the normal year). I don't think we have a lot of farmers around here in this area. the house across the road, still have water on the their pond. Is it posible that the neighbor digged down too far and caused the spings to shift to their land. If that the case, can I dig down a little further and try to get the sping back. You may be right about the city pumping the water out the ground since next to the land there is a subdivision still in the development. Thanks
