Hello,
I have recently had a small (2.5 acre) pond dug, and it is about 85% filled. I need a local resources to help me with the stocking and aquatic vegitation (as well as surrounding vegetation to get those ducks in!) -- I'm going to focus on pleasure bass fishin', so I need to stock baitfish and bluegills (now, I think) - I've read the basic pond mgt book, so I have a real basic understanding but I'd like to get someone local to hire for their expertise (I know what I don't know!). My place is in Canton, TX -- W. of Tyler, E. of Dallas. Any suggestions for a good resource would be appreciated -- please email me at scott@coachbarnes.com.

Thanks much! Scott

There is a gentleman North-East of Dallas that seems to know a little bit about such matters. Kind of backwards, but he is in your area. His name is Bob Lusk. He services the North-East Texas area. Just email Pondboss to get in touch with him.

Actually tried him first, but got no response -- But I did find someone in the Resource Link -- Tyler Fish Farm -- actually went by and picked up 750 bluegill, 250 Redear, 9lbs of fatheads and 250 channel cat this morning. They were REAL helpful, and the prices certainly seemed in line with what I've seen -- and their "advice" was free. ;-)

Thanks much -- Scott
