I observed a beaver lodge and and beaver swimming in my pond. Can anyone tell me if this is harmful? It is an open pasture and not many tree. He has cut down a few saplings.

Ah... beavers... my nemesis.

They aren't overly harmful in terms of damaging your fishery, however they can carry disease as well as dragging 'cover' into your pond you might not otherwise want. Some beavers do burrow into banks for creation of their den so they can potentially cause serious damage to dams. Beyond damage to the pond itself they can cause alot of damage to your trees in a short time. One thing about not having many trees nearby is that they may move on to another location... once they tap you out.
