I noticed a couple of weeks ago this gator knew when the dinner bell rang at my feeder. I have cussing him thinking he was eating my fish. Tonight i was there and watched--he is eating the feed!!

I have heard that gator tastes like frog legs, which I think are tasty. (No idea if that is true!)
Legal for you to take gator (as a varmint)? Or call some gator hunters who will take if for free for the meat and hide?
I think feeding gators is going to hit you in the wallet pretty hard!

I am approved for three tags. I can pick them up in August and the season opens around the first week in September. I am going to get him then I hope.

Your gator has better feed technique than some of my catfish.
Excerpt from Robert Crais' "The Monkey's Raincoat:" "She took another microscopic bite of her sandwich, then pushed it away. Maybe she absorbed nutrients from her surroundings."

I thought some of my Cajun buddies had told me gator meat was tasty. But that was long ago and I didn't trust my memory. Hopefully, lafarmpondguy can give us an update this fall about the tastiness of pellet-fed gator! P.S. Have you mostly been staying on the LA side of the state line, or have you been able to sneak over to the TX side and enjoy some ponds over there?

I noticed some fish feeding next to the gator
It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.
