What does a fish have to do to appear respectful to a hall of famer? I guess by biting on everything he throws at em.

Yep. I believe all of the bass in the pond eligible for the Texas Legacy Lunker program biting what he is throwing would be a proper show of respect.
Unless of course, he is fishing for BG, then I would accept everything over 1.5# biting to be appropriate.

I think the best rewards always come with years of service and are shown as an appreciation of the countless hours you spent learning and teaching others. Hall of Fame definitely qualifies and is a fantastic achievement you earned on the long game.
