Thanks all. 81 today

A little story....

At one of the last PB Conventions, I think it was in Texas, Al (FireIsHot) and I were talking to a young man near the Pond Boss booth. This young man was looking to get into the pond aeration business with a sole focus on fountains, as opposed to subsurface and surface systems.

Now, it was clear to Al and I that this young man did not present himself very well; he was a bit slothenly in a stained maroon T-shirt, and he had a tentative nature to him, to which Al and I could clearly see. So naturally, Al and I were being very responsive to him, and perhaps treating him with some kid gloves.

And then Guv walks over and interjects himself into the conversation. Al and I explain to Guv what this young man is endeavoring to do for a career path. Guv proceeds to tell this young man that fountain aeration is worthless, and is a myth, and that nobody should be selling them as 'aeration,' and walks away leaving Al and I there to gather up the remnants of this young man's being.

Now, as this young man was standing before the three of us, I could also see his spirit/soul right there next to him. Poor kid's spirit just evaporated right there into thin air with a mild fizzling sound.

Al and I wished the young man good luck and gently left the scene.

HB Dave, it looks like you're getting a tad bit of rain.

That story is true, but I might change that to "Al and I wished the young man good luck and slowly backed away from the scene."

I miss the conferences, good times were had.

Al, got about .4 inch. Still pretty grim.

Sunil, you must have drinking beer. I have no recollection of this discussion.

Actually, I do remember popping his bubble and saving him some money.
