Where I'm at TP usually overwinter. My concern is that they will overpopulate. In my 1/2 acre ground water pond I am able to maintain the water level with my well. I noticed that when the water temps get low the TP school around the incoming well water. My thought is to put a seine in the water when I know the temp is going to drop and leave it there until they are schooled up. My thought is that I'm sneaky enough I could pull the net and lower the population. I was also thinking it would work for Y'all where the water gets hard in the winter if you timed it right.

nbells - That method of catching some tilapia is very creative thanks for sharing it with us. Please return and let us know how well it works for you. Maybe do a rough count of how many and the sizes you are able to collect.
