Hi - we have a small pond in Vermont. Just for aesthetics really, but now, not so much. Just some facts: 50 ft x 25 ft oval. Conical shape - deepest point 12 feet. We had it dredged last year. We installed a solar powered aerator (which we love) about 3 weeks ago. Our town and those surrounding experienced severe flooding (south / central VT). We have frogs. We have no fish. Water trickles in on one end and out via a overflow pipe out the other end. We aren’t there often. Visited yesterday. Brown foggy water. Shiny sheen (that gasoline look) brown slimy clumps. Looks like textbook iron bacteria. Frothy foamy brown out the overflow pipe. It just looks awful. What do we do? Thank you in advance.

Our immediate property didn’t flood - but next town Ludlow had significant damage. I’m just laying out the facts between when the water looked fine and now three weeks later yuck. Not sure what is causal etc.
