Fascinating, and rather ingenious.

Hmmm, I'm wondering if I could do something like this to collect eggs from the catfish in my pond, raise them up until they get big enough to survive on their own and turn them back into the pond. Before we drained and re-worked the pond, I never ever would catch a smaller catfish so if they were breeding, I don't think the young were surviving long enough to reach adulthood.

Sherwood, according to Lusk, of all the eggs laid and hatched, very few ever live long enough to spawn. They get eaten. If they didn’t, an O2 crash would occur.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

I bet you could. You'd have to use a hatching jar: https://pentairaes.com/hatching-jar-and-hanger.html
