Thoughts on Design? Pumps/liner?

Hello Everyone!
New to this community and so thankful for the wealth of knowledge. I obtained a 5 acre property in the outskirts of San Diego, CA. The land has a 20 year old man made waterfall and pond with gazebos. The pond liner was almost non existent so I am taking the chance to do a complete overhaul but this will be my first time on this type of project (I have a great construction team working with me!). After much research I have drawn up the plans and would love any input from the community. Here is some of the basic info:

Current Pond size:
65 by 106 by 5 ft
volume in cubic feet: 23,500 - 33,250
175,545 gallons to 230,000 gallons

My main questions are:
-Opinions on the design? Do you think my placement of the intake bay will work?
-recommendations on pumps, what kind, what power level?
- Liner: RPE or EPDM?

Thank you!
Julie

I think the intake will work, but you should have a way to clean or service the intake pipe going to the waterfall in case something gets stuck in it. If it is a smaller size, you might get biofilm growing on it and that will reduce it's efficiency over time.

I like using the AquaArmor style of liner, it is much lighter then EDPM and much more cut resistant. https://www.btlliners.com/aquaarmor

As for the waterfall and pump size, how wide is the waterfall and how thick do you want the level of water going over the waterfall? Here is a link to a site that has a waterfall pump calculator on it. https://smart-pond.com/calculate
