Forecast for over six inches of rain in the next week at my pond. I'd take half of that, but would really appreciate more.

Rain dance requested for all in the drought area!

The bullseye is right over us with the chance of 10-12". I'd be happy with a nice slow 4".

Just so long as it doesn't involve any twerking...

Overnight forecast: "Localized flooding is possible."

Never have those words sounded better.

So far, according to a close weather station, I’ve gotten 1.2 inches.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

Rod, I'm surprised Mama cow let you force her baby to do all that dancing!

Dave, good news on your rain, hope it meets the need. Best I can tell, my place got 2.6 inches so far, and it's still raining. I wouldn't mind double that, or even triple spread out a couple of days. It's gonna take a heck of a lot to refill when you start three feet low.

14 1/4" so far. It's a tad wet around here. Pretty sure the hatchery pond got blown out, and the big pond's at emergency spillway.

Pat, I'd give you 6" in a heartbeat. Gonna get out and take some pics in a few.

Hatchery pond got blown out. Starting from scratch once the water recedes.

24" pipe from neighbor's pasture got blown out.

Emergency spillway 10" but falling

Too much of a good thing……they can’t seem to keep the power on either, 5 days in a row it’s been out for hours at a time…..

Al, sorry about your flooding!

We definitely need a Pond Boss advertiser that makes a control switch for rain that can be turned off before we get too much.

Yikes, Al! Haven't heard of that much rain since Hurricane Harvey down Houston way. This obviously isn't a hurricane, just a tropical wave, but it is so slow moving.

Nearing 4 inches now, all of which my pond can use. Two or three more would be fine. Much more than that, may get dicey, especially if it comes fast. Even starting so low, 14 1/4 inches would be too much.

Next time you pray for rain to alleviate drought, you need to quantify how much, and over what period of time. Use language lie "hall have no more than 1.0" per hour at any time and no longer than 3 hours per day"

Sheesh, just like Texas to go big. Sorry you are getting damaging amounts of rain.

Nothing like extremes.......From 2 months of drought to 10"+ since last night and still coming down.

The rain cell just sat on top of us, with little to no wind to move it. I was almost scared to say how much rain we got, but several neighbor's are swamped as well. Neighbor across the road has a dry creek that's about 20' below his back pasture. That pasture's still under water. We're under a flood watch until 8 tonight. Potential for 2-5 inches.

Looks like my place will end up with about 5 inches. I suspect it will take more than that to reach full pool, but could be wrong. Lots of variables, including soil type, topography, etc. I have 8 to 1 ratio of watershed to pond, should be interesting to observe how much water level changes.

Rain dancers, you've done your job. In fact, some places you did a little too much!

Wound up with 10 inches in town where I didn’t need it. A neighbor with a weather station near my ponds got 3 inches.

I guess that there was more dancing in town. Ten inches is a lot of rain in one storm!

Wonder how it will affect the fish. I know they like fresh water, particularly when it is cooler in the blazing dog days of summer, but how does it affect water chemistry? What about the thermocline?

Interesting subject, I'm gonna ask Bob about it.
