All kids should experience at least one adventure with lots of "catching" as a high percentage of the time "fishing". I am contemplating putting in a small pond at our property that is either intentionally stunted bass or bullheads for just that purpose! I would love a day of doing nothing but taking small fish off the hook for youngsters.

When I was a kid, we were pretty much outside in the Texas heat all summer. Riding our bikes to creeks, catching giant tadpoles, exploring some near-by woods, riding our Schwinn Sting Rays to a community pool a couple of miles away, riding our bikes down to a small grocery store and picking out a popsicle. I certainly wouldn't trade those days (or our music) for an X-Box or texting, Fishing has never been about the fish....
