Anyone ever put in snails for their RES? And if so what kind did you add?

I did for the pond I specifically built primarily for RES (which soon became a RES/SMB pond within a year). I just took some weeds our of my sediment pond that had a bunch of snail eggs on it and put it in the pond in a few places. There were also some snails still attached.
Probably not an advisable thing to do, but this pond sits near a small seasonal creek and all my ponds got snails almost as soon as they were built without my help. So I was sure the native snails would end up there anyway. I don't know what variety but I do have both the conical type as well as the spiral.

How is your RES SMB pond doing? And what size is it? I may be on the path unless I pull more dirt out.
