I’m new to Pond Boss (new to actually posting on any forum). I have just built a 2 acre pond approx 22’ deep and am looking to build structure before it fills. I’ve got plenty of time as Murphy’s Law says I built a pond and it will never rain again (west Tx ya know). To get to the point, I am looking at tires for structure as I can get literally loads of them. Your thoughts?

Welcome to the forum!
Tires will work. You can make lots of things out of them. The only issue with tires is that they will hold air and possibly float. You'll have to drill a hole in the top of each tire to let the air out - I'd do that with a 1" hole saw or maybe a large unibit will work. You want to make the hole large enough so a leaf, algae or weeds can't plug the hole and trap air.
Look in the archives for threads on building cover/structure for fish. There are a lot of suggestions there.
Whatever you do, I would put the cover in all depths of the pond, not just shallow, not just deep.

I filled the bottom of upright tires (tied together in groups of three) with dirt from the pond bottom. That has proven sufficient weight to hold them down for 15 years.

I put one tire pile and several places where tires were combined with old foundation concrete "cribs". Many were truck tires as we ran simi's on the farm and had the old tires. Couple old tractor tires too.
I drilled holes (though in retrospect probably not big enough holes) in them. Steel belted truck tires that is not a particularly easy job. stuffed rocks in the tires.
Most of them stayed in place though over about a year after the pond filled had a few derelicts that floated. Had to put on a swimming suit and re-sink them. But all in all most of them stayed down.
