Excerpt from Robert Crais' "The Monkey's Raincoat:" "She took another microscopic bite of her sandwich, then pushed it away. Maybe she absorbed nutrients from her surroundings."
We loved George! He was a major player on this forum! My last conversation with him...went to his house and they had a hospital bed in there for him. You could tell he was getting near the end and we reflected on his life, our common bonds through Pond Boss, how much these relationships meant to him, especially Allen and Brian...he seemed to get a spark of energy for an hour or so. He told me all about planning his funeral, how it was going to go...in great detail. I looked at him, trying to poke at him just a little bit, since he was so matter-of-fact, and I asked, "George, just when are you going to die?" I smiled and his response was quick, "Bob, God did not stamp an expiration date on my chest!" I busted out laughing and so did he.
George was truly one of a kind.

A pity I didn't get to meet him but I loved his threads, his wisdom and his witty sayings. If you don't believe he was witty, read his profile and his answer to the question 'How many states are in the USA?' at the link below
I think this was his original posting 'handle' George. Then in 2011 or 2012 the forum underwent a software upgrade and he became 'george1' 3,794 posts. Not enough! You can click on the 3,794 icon on this link in his profile to read and see his posts and pictures.
