I thought it was just random, but every time I fish on the dock something bites me and it is not mosquitos or anything like that. According to the bites, they look like spider bites. They take over a week to heal! Are you getting bitten in the water or out of the water on land?

Sitting on the dock. It is only one or two bites at a time. Last lime it was the side of my stomach and on the back of my leg knee high.
Also got a bite on my wrist a couple of weeks ago.
None around waste band or socks. It is not chiggers.
I have gotten into them before.

If it hurts lick heck when you get bitten, look at deer or horse flies.

Look into and explore the bites could be from no-see-ums a very tiny hard to see insect that is common around water. Its life cycle in mostly in the water bodies.

Look into and explore the bites could be from no-see-ums a very tiny hard to see insect that is common around water. Its life cycle in mostly in the water bodies. I could be this, I never see them.
