I hope your 4-5" BG are on the larger size. My recently purchased "4 to 6 inch BG" where delivered with about 95% at the 4" size with a few 5 and 6 inchers. They were out of Missouri, however. Ha! That thought has also crossed my mind. I'll find out this Thursday.

The deed is done. 150 4-5" BG released into the pond this morning plus 3 lbs of FHM. Will start hand tossing tomorrow. I suspect it will be at least a day or two before they get acclimated and back on their feed.
I also dropped a total of five 6-7' scrub cedar trees into the pond which previously didn't have much structure. The pond is only 2/3 acres on the surface but remarkedly deep throughout. From most banks the water is 6-8' deep within three feet of the bank. The pond is 11' at the deepest. I placed the cedars in 9 to 6 foot of water toward the "shallower" end of the pond.
I'm very curious to see how this all plays out!

Quick update. BG all seem happy and are already spawning in the one shallower end of the pond. They are also eating the pellets (via a Texas Hunter feeder) but I'm still trying to dial-in on the right quatity. Hoping to get some intel from a separate post: PostI also think I'm getting my first bloom of the year. Water has been suprisingly clear all Spring (4'+) and then last week it started getting minute green suspended particles that are getting thicker by the day. We'll see where this goes... So far visibuility has dropped to 24"

So maybe you have harvested a little more than I calculated ... 15.47 lbs or about 23 lbs/acre.
Since you are making a diligent effort to take measurements, I've attached an excel spreadsheet that you can log your catches in. Necessary fields in the data tab are DATE, #, & AVG LEN. You can enter the actual total weight or allow the SS to calculate based on standard weight and your estimate of RW. Their are two pivots on the other two tabs. After entering new data, you need to right click them and choose refresh to bring new data into the pivots. Hope it helps. jpsdad, Can you share the password that protects this spreadsheet? I've been using and would like to make a few customizations. Private message me if that works better. PS- really love this for tracking catches over time!
