Recently, I've seen a lot of pictures of huge LMB, and the people are holding these hawgs by their lower jaws for pictures.
Several years ago, there seemed to be a push to not handle the larger bass by the lower jaw, but instead to use two hands and support the fish under it's body as well as holding the jaw thus giving a horizontal presentation.
I don't hear anything these days about concern for the basses' lower jaw.

Excellent point. This is the time of year when the largest bass are usually caught, important to handle them correctly.

Respect for proper Oral Care does seem to have diminished since the Forum's best known dentist has been scarce.
But Sunil is right - hold a big bass only by their lower jaw, and they are at serous risk of a broken jaw and big problems feeding afterwards.
