Just saw this and it seems cheep, so I thought I'd pass it on if that is allowed. I already have a 4-ft one that I paid more for. If someone welds, it looks like it could be made into two 4' rollers.

A double barrel sheepsfoot is better for compaction because the double barrel weighs more and bounces around less providing better knitting and binding together the two soil layers. Every pond builder should have one of these units.

I have a small dozer, so the 4' works better for me, but can roll on a steep slope, so having a rotating tongue hookup is required. I bought mine before I had the dozer.

I asked our local pond builder recently if he now has a roller. He said no, his clients won't pay extra for him to use one, although he knows the value of it. It's hard to convince people until after they have to deal with a leaky pond. People are stupid. I was stupid when I had my first pond done.

My first pond was built without a sheep's foot and it holds water like a drum. However, my next 2 ponds, and the 4th under construction, used a sheep's foot. Why take the risk?
