OP Shakebaker S Joined: Sep 2020 Posts: 4 Texas	My 3-4 acre lake gets overrun with coontails in the spring and summer. Probably about 65-70 percent full of it. Only the very middle doesn't have it or is where you can get a boat around or fish. I know some is good to have but this seems way to much. We had a fish kill two years ago from oxygen depletion during the summer when the lake was down and the temperature was way over 100 for several weeks. I'm sure the coontail didn't help. From reading the forum I've got some ideas ridding it's going to be hard. Any suggestions on amount that's say the " right amount " ? I've considered putting grass carp in to help but it seems that's hit or miss on coontail. Constantly using herbicide seems like such a time consuming and costly way. Maybe a combination of the two or any other suggestions ?? Thanks
