Damn...

Brutality rising!!!

Excerpt from Robert Crais' "The Monkey's Raincoat:"
"She took another microscopic bite of her sandwich, then pushed it away. Maybe she absorbed nutrients from her surroundings."

One of the reasons I'm thinning the larger GSH out of my pond, I've pulled 60 out today, average size 6".

Snipe what type of minnow/shiner is that? Doesn't appear to have the curved lateral line of a GSH?

This is a new community pond we just renovated early spring, filled and stocked early summer with FHM and GSH.

Did the GSH eat another GSH or FHM? That is a hearty appetite!

It was a guess that it was a GSH fry based on eye size. Hard to tell for sure.

GSH? Looks like a common minnow but never heard of a gsh.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

That is basically true. There are a few grazers/filter feeders that don't - like shad and other herbivores.
