Thanks for sharing that fish aging information. I am thinking that the further south the fish lives the harder it will be to use this technique because this method relies on a distinct wintering period to distinctly show the growth lines. Similar problem occurs when using scales. Please some one in TX LA south Al or GA and FL try this on a LMB and see if age marks are just as clear as in the demonstration.
