Can anyone help me identify this weed and offer some suggestion on control methods. I'm in South Georgia. I've removed most using a rake but a few spots remain.

It sure looks like Moneywort. Mine only grows at the water's edge, but the web says it can grow submerged in the water. I have never seen that. I find it to be a nice plant to have, but could see how it could overtake the shallows if it took to growing IN the water.

The creeping jenny you gave me last summer is very well behaved so far. All three starts took. They've expanded a bit, but show no signs that they want to get out of control.
With the pond currently at full pool they're all growing under water at the moment. That is likely to change as we progress into summer.

I looked and the photo for the submerged section looks like what I have but when you click on it the photo is not in that section. Does look like Moneywort/Creeping Jenny.

Consider allowing it to grow. It would make good fish habitat and might not grow real deep. It competes with all filamentous algae to keep the FA controlled.
