I put 50 plugs of standard eelgrass into our lake. I didn't cage or protect them. Will they make it? We have an abundance of turtles, fish, etc., standard east Texas lake, 80 acres. They are planted from 1 to 2 feet deep in sand and bottom muck. If I need to I'll get another 50 and fence them in.

We did a few years ago. I haven't seen any evidence in at least 3-4 years.

Still struggling to get eelgrass going. I replanted inside chicken wire cages. One area seems to be taking a bit, the other area I can't see anything growing.
