I wonder if anyone has had this problem? I have a Normark Digital Scale to weigh fish that is calibrated perfectly at 5 lbs, but weighs low at higher weights and weighs high at lower weights. When I check it at 7.5 lbs, it is off by about 1/4 lb. My question is has anyone had any experience with any GOOD and ACCURATE portable digital scales? I not too interested in the spring type scales because they are usually in 1/4 lb intervals. It would be nice to have a digital scale that would accurately weigh a 1 lb bluegill and also accurately weigh a 10 lb bass. Any thoughts out there? Thanks, Bill

That's interesting you mention the inaccuracy of your digital scale. As a fish taxidermist I have a certified scale (produce/meat scale) and have on several occasions had anglers bring in fish that were weighed on digital scales and they were weighed heavy compared to my scale.
However, I will tell you even though my scale is certified it starts to weight a little low on the higher end. A scale only has to be within a certain range to be certified. But still the fish brought in are off in my lower range too.
If pigs could fly bacon would be harder to come by and there would be a lot of damaged trees.
