This bass is fifteen months older than she was as a four inch fingerling. First I've caught in several months but first time using a large buzzing lighting fish lure. 6" boards indicate a length of about 17". I did not weigh, she was barely hooked, I got her back into the water.

She is one of few "policemen" to keep bluegills and baby bass in check. If the catfish spawn, I'm hoping she'll eat heartily.

My water is only 49F but it seems the bass are hungry. Looking forward to an infusion of crawfish forage, worked well last year.
