I just had the strangest thing happen. I was fishing off my feeding pier trying to catch bass to tag, and caught a nice sized BG. Just as I was removing the bait from its mouth it slipped out of my hand and hit the dock. Mind you, by the time it actually came out of my hand it was only about 2 feet above the dock. It didn't hit particularly hard or anything, and in fact, it was really more of a glancing blow because it slid right off and into the water...and just floated there on its side! I mean. it was dead as a door nail. I picked it back up looked it over good and tried for 5 minutes to see if I could revive it and it never so much as flicked a fin again. It was the oddest thing ever-I mean it just died instantly, and completely, from what wasn't even a hard blow. Hated to lose a nice breeder like that for no reason, but sometimes weird things happen, I guess.

I recall someone else on the forum had a similar post some time in the last year or so. Must just be a freak thing that happens once in a while.
I have had them be stunned from dropping them, but never one actually die.

It must be because I sure have dropped plenty and never had that happen. It was really weird. I recall someone else on the forum had a similar post some time in the last year or so. Must just be a freak thing that happens once in a while.

I guess you just have to find that special spot. When you do though, it sure is effective! It has happened to me several times.
