I have a small pond (we call it tank) that I’m wanting to clean up and I’m hoping I can find lots of info here.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

Thanks guys. It’s about 130x100 I’d say around 1/4 acre. Middle is about 12’ deep. Mainly I’d like to clean it up so the kids can swim and play in it. So I guess you would call it ornamental? Looking to clear the water up as much as I can reasonably, and figure out what to do to make mowing around it easier. I have access to a decent tractor.

We used to call ours tanks down around our farm near Corpus Cristi. Do you know your pond bottom well? We could never swim in ours because people used to throw bottles, cans, etc. in our tanks and shoot them. Very dangerous to wade in. Just a note of caution!!

They were stock tanks to me until I met Lusk. Guys around Bowie still look at me kinda funny when I say pond.
