i have 2 ponds that are developing serious lily pad issues. What are some effective methods or products to control/ remove lily pads?

This works very well for me. I used it to clear out certain spots. the lillys will eventually grow back, its not cheap, and its a bit labor intensive.I used it at the end of june and it is still clear.

For chemical control, including American lotus, granular 2-4-D sprinkled in among them should do a good job. 'Lily Pads' can mean several plant types, but 2-4-D should do the trick. The under water cutter looks like a neat contraption.

I was told by a TPWD biologist that 2-4-D was no longer recommended for water use. Is this true? Thats why I have never used it.

What I used was rodeo with a sticking agent. I was very impressed with the results and the low toxicity for the fish.
