I was in Tractor Supply and saw some "pond" stuff. First one i will ask about is the dye. I read others post wanting dye, but not the reason. So according to the bottle, it will trap help waves of light, causing a phytoplankton bloom. Those in turn makw O2 for the pond correct?
One has added bacteria, but i didn5 get a chance to read the back of the bottle. Any thoughts?
Second question, there was another product that is treatmeant, that suppose clear up all leaves/organic matter, sludge on the bottom. Now, from my understanding that is what i need to happen in the "Gleyingh/Glazing the pond floor to seal it. Any experts in this way of sealing the grpund enought to confirm my idea? Here is the product
The dye actually blocks light penetration to eliminate plant photosynthesis to kill noxious weeds. It works somewhat but not on emerging plants. It isn't for helping a phyto bloom; actually just the opposite.
The second one may or may not work at all. That stuff is questionable depending on the specific water being treated.

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.
