I have been trying to catch some channel that are in my pond, so I thought I'd use some crappie (which are already in there), I caught some 4 inchers or so, and cut them up...one of them had eggs in her! How big do crappie get before they start spawning?

Its age as well as size. They can spawn at 4 inches and one year. Usually at 2 years and 6 inches.
