Ah yes.....59 is such an innocent age!!!
I've sent JHAP a PM requesting his presence but no reply yet. I also included Brettski on the PM, kind of like the canary in a coal mine.
Brettski got right back to me babbling about otiliths and other nonsense.

Hello fellow Pondmeisters.
Yep JHAP is still alive and yes a year older. 59 and I don't look a day over 71.
Well 2016 was a very eventful year for the Hasaponds.
At the very end of November 2016 Ricki and I put our Southern California property up for sale and moved 500 miles north to begin building on our pond property.
After 11 years our dream of building on our pond property will commence sometime in 2017.
This was a huge event, moving 500 miles, business and all to Placerville California. We are temporarily renting a home while we await the sale of the Southern California building. Once the building sells we will begin the process of building a house on our property. So now JWHAP (aka Ricki) and I are officially Placervillans (that's probably not the technical term but it has an appropriate ring to it).
Just since we've moved here we have received over 41 inches of rain. The rain has been amazing, setting 20 year old records. We are south and east of Oroville which I'm sure most of you have heard news about.
To say that the pond is full would be a massive understatement. Fortunately the spillway is doing it's job and our dam is holding up just fine. I thought in the past that I had witnessed the pond at it's highest point and boy was I wrong. The pond is full, full, full.
Ricki and I are doing well, amazingly she still manages to put up with my antics, which have slowed down a little bit over the past few years but not much.
DIED and I have been in contact a few times but haven't had a get together yet. We've been busy unpacking (damn the Hasaponds had a lot of stuff)! Over 300 moving boxes full of stuff plus all of our furniture, tools, etc. Heck my Brazillian Cut Neoprene Cod Piece collection took up 11 boxes alone. (Oh come on did you actually think I could reply without mentioning the almighty BCNP).
One more move (from the rental house to our pond property) and I am done moving. Well at least until they make me move to the Psycho-Neurotic Institute for the Very Very Nervous but I can assure you that will not be voluntary (unless perhaps German Chocolate Cake is involved).
Hopefully sometime in 2018 (or late 2017) if we're lucky we will be living the dream on our pond property. The pond needs a lot of work, once again it has become overgrown with weeds (Elodea and American Pond Weed). I can't tell what the fish population is like yet but hopefully my beloved Green Sunfish are still doing well and have not been bred out of existence by those harlot-like Bluegill.
Thank you all for the birthday wishes. I'll try to post here more often.
Sincerely,
Jhap
PS: Did I mention Brazillian Cut Neoprene Cod Pieces and that the pond was full?

It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color.

Happy birthday JHAP. You probably are not familiar with me but let it be known that your old GSF threads have been an inspiration to us all. Well, maybe not all, but those of us interested in GSF. Make that a choice few. 100% green sunfish

And just like that, it's 2012 all over again. Good times. Great to hear from you Jeff, happy belated birthday. Harlot-like bluegill..... Thank you sprkplug. It's good to be heard! How have you been? That is quite the news update!! It'll be nice to put some names to the faces on the pictures your game cams have taken!!! I'll need to buy more game cameras (if you recall mine were stolen by miscreants). Deer names are really hard to pronounce and sound kinda screechy. I look forward to catching up with you my friend. DD, how are you my GSA brother? For those that don't know Dave was the very first member of the GSA has been an ardent supporter of this magnificent breed of fish. Thanks for the newsy update. Congrats on going to be living on the pond property - everyone's dream and yours is coming true. Always good to see/read your cleaver delightful posts. Have some German Chocolate Cake for several days celebrating your Bday! Commander Cody!!! Do you still have that little wooden boat? I'll tell Ricki that she needs to make more German Chocolate Cake since it was prescribed by Dr. Perca. Shorty, how ya doing? YAY JHAP, congrats on the move, man! We need photos and fishery updates post haste! TJ my sock puppet loving friend! (Well that sounded a lot creepier than I intended). How are you doing? Do you still hear from Bruce Condello? How are your ponds coming along? Happy birthday JHAP.You probably are not familiar with me but let it be known that your old GSF threads have been an inspiration to us all. Well, maybe not all, but those of us interested in GSF. Make that a choice few. You sir are an officer and a gentleman. I read through that entire link and, due to your tireless battle to preserve the almighty Green Sunfish, I do hereby proclaim you GSA's "Keeper of the Sword." You should consider this a great honor, right up there with winning a perfect attendance certificate from the American College of Shoe Repair and Welding. The sword is more of a pointy letter opener but it can definitely cause a severe skin blemish. As soon as I can find the link to the GSA logo I shall place it in your thread to officially give the GSA stamp of approval to your very educational and well thought writing. Thank you all for the birthday wishes, I look forward to reacquainting myself with old friends and making new ones.

Hey Happy Birthday JHAP. It is great to hear from you and get that update. Congratulations on the brave move. Strange, hearing from you and then realizing that Debra King's birthday is today. Could two miracles occur and have Debra update us as well.
Don't forget there is a PB Conference in Texas later this year. It sure would be nice to see you guys there.

Ms King is likely deeply involved in chasing Ghosts. No more fishy stuff for her.

Hey Jeff! Great to hear about what you and Rikki are doing. We miss your postings. Somewhere here I posted what we are doing. We're selling our ponds. We have become snowbirds and spend the cold months in very southern NC. Give Rikki a big hug from Lynda and me.

I sent an email to the address TOM G had in his profile but got an instant delivery failure.
