My name is Dennis Fields. I live in Green county Wisconsin. My pond is about a 1/4 acre in size with an average depth of 4 feet. It's about 8 years old and is spring fed. Even in dry years it maintains it depth. It's stocked with a few Koi, bass and other fish. Controlling the weeds hasn't been a problem. Algae and water color seem to be my biggest problems. I'm thinking it has something to do with aeration.(to much or to little) I'll do some looking through the archives and see what I come up with before I ask for help.

Welcome to forum. Don't be afraid to ask questions when you need to. Sounds like aeration and getting rid of excess nutrients if you can.

Welcome Dennis. Kill the Koi, they murk up the water a lot. Cody Note: Plus then the aeration keeps the tiny suspended muck particles circulating and mixing in suspension. I eradicated 4 (all) koi from a similar sized pond with 6" of visibility and in 4 weeks the water clarity increased to 6ft.
