it's never too early to begin the search. April 7th, and it's on in Indiana.

If we accept that: MBG(+)FGSF(=)HBG(F1) And we surmise that: BG(>)HBG(F1) while GSF(<)HBG(F1) Would it hold true that: HBG(F1)(+)AM500(x)q.d.(=)1.5lbGRWT? PB answer: It depends.
When I was at esshup's place yesterday. Walked around out back past the long range back stops and up over the hill, and he showed me where he finds Morels. Not many tho.
Gee, maybe only a couple square feet in my dad's back yard that a few pop up tho. Go down the road a bit, and it's payday.
I'll bring some gun's down next time to tickle that furthest back stop. Scott has much better! Mine should do OK tho.
Those are good looking Morels! We are still having frost in the morning, but this weekend I think they will be starting to pop up here. 70 for highs during the day with sun (yay).
Don't want to hijack but here in KY there in also done had 2 messes of them.
Yellows! Nice! Won't be long and they'll show up here also. On another spring note, found three bare spots in the gravel tonight, in the big lake. RES, but they spooked as I walked up. Not committed to the nest by any means, but they hung out in a little deeper water and wouldn't leave. In a day or two, some BG should follow suit. Water temps were 64 degrees on the surface.

What a difference a 100+ miles will make. We had frost the last few nights and the water is still very cool. I will toss in a thermometer tomorrow to check.
