My pond is 0.5 an acre and during the late spring till end of summer my ponds egdes get covered in a slime green weed. It doesnt feel like weeds, its very slimy and thick. Does anyone know what it is, and how I can get rid of it. Its ruining fishing on the shore of my pond.

Sounds like filamentous algae. If so, you have several options. Algaecide is one option. Aeration could provide relief. So could beneficial microbes. Do a search for filamentous algae on this forum...there's lots of info.
